Sharing 9 different turmeric salad dressings to add to your rotation!

Hi friends! I hope you’re having a wonderful morning! I have a Spanish lesson today and am looking forward to a morning of coaching calls.

For today’s post, let’s chat about one of my favorite lunch options: a salad!

Salads are one of my go-to meals—light, refreshing, and packed with nutrients. They’re an easy and delicious way to load up on veggies, and they can be customized to suit any flavor profile you’re craving. But let’s be real: the magic of a salad often lies in the dressing. A good dressing can transform a basic bowl of greens into something truly crave-worthy, and that’s where turmeric salad dressing comes in.

Turmeric salad dressing is one of my top picks because it’s not just flavorful, but it’s also loaded with health benefits. Turmeric, the star ingredient, is known for its anti-inflammatory properties, which can support everything from digestion to joint health. Paired with other nourishing ingredients like apple cider vinegar and olive oil, this dressing is as nutritious as it is tasty. Today, I’m excited to share some easy-to-make turmeric salad dressing recipes that will take your salads to the next level.

What’s your favorite salad dressing recipe?? I’d love to hear if you have a tried and true fave!

Sharing a recap of the best places to eat in Waikiki and why we love them so much!

Hi friends! Happy Monday! I hope you’re having a wonderful morning so far and that you enjoyed the weekend! It was a good one over here. Liv and I got to work on a voluteenr project together, I met up with a friend for brunch and took hoy yoga.

This is the first week that I feel like we’re finally back in the swing of things after our glorious trip to Hawaii straight into school starting. This week. the kids have a full week at school, I actually meal-prepped and grocery shopped, and my schedule is packed with podcast interviews and coaching calls.

For today’s post, I wanted to share a recap of our favorite places in Waikiki and why we love them so much! We also visited Waikiki a couple of years ago, so we were pumped to return to some favorites and also explore some new spots. I’ll have a post up next week with a recap of our time at Aulani, too!

The best restaurants in Waikiki

Best poke bowl: Poke Fix

We had SO much sushi and poke bowls while we were there, but our very favorite is Poke Fix. The menu changes based on what’s caught fresh each day, and the seasoned selections are marinated to perfection. They truly treat poke like a work of art; it’s by far the best poke bowl of my life.

Best Acai bowl: ALO Cafe

Everything is made fresh in house, including their peanut butter. I love these acai bowls because the base isn’t too sweet, they have gluten-free granola, and the ratio of acai to toppings is ideal. They also have wonderful smoothies!

Best date night or fancier dinner spot: A House Without a Key

This is probably in my top 10 resturants ever, including all of the places we’ve traveled. Everything is fresh, vibrant, and you can’t beat the scenery. You’re outdoors, facing the ocean and an exquisite sprawling tree, which provides a bit of shade for the live music and hula dancers.

7.26 Friday Faves

Fashion + beauty + random:

This nail polish. I’ve been giving my nails a break from dip since my favorite nail girl has been away for a couple of months, and decided to give this a try after Julie recommended it. It smoothes out the surface of your nails (which is helpful if they’ve been drilled a bit for dip and gel) and gives a nice, neutral shade.

July reader Faves! It’s always fun to go back through analytics and see which products you enjoyed the most that I shared here on the blog.

Is Danger Coffee Worth It? My full review

Hi friends! How are you? I hope you’re having a wonderful morning so far. The kids start school today (wah!) and I can hardly believe it. Summer went by way too quickly, but between amazing long vacays in Spain and Hawaii, it was definitely one for the books!

For today’s post, let’s talk about my favorite morning ritual: coffee!! Coffee and I go wayyyy back. We laugh that it stunted my growth because I started drinking milking coffee at the age of 11, at my great-nana’s dining room table. Sunday morning meant Mass, donuts, the best homemade Mexican food, mugs and mugs of coffee, and eventually falling asleep on a couch while the grownups chatted.

I’ve been a coffee fan forever, but my relationship with coffee wasn’t always a healthy one. In college, I would drink a pot of coffee each day. I’m not even joking. My sleep, coffee, and lifestyle habits were terrifying. I would make a pot of coffee and drink it by the time I went to *bed.*

I also noticed over the years that coffee dramatically affected my anxiety and resting heart rate. I made the choice to switch to decaf years ago, and haven’t gone back. I love the taste and ritual of it, but I don’t need the caffeine.

Over the years, I’ve found myself diving into different coffee brands and methods. I’ve also realized that most decaf coffee is disgusting. I hate the Nespresso brand, love the Whole Foods brands and one brand that has caught my attention recently is Danger Coffee. They had Danger Coffee FLOWING at the Biohacking Conference and I fell in love with it! Today, I wanted to share my full review and along with a discount link. You can use FITNESSISTA here for 10% off!
