2.21 Friday Faves

Hi friends! Happy Friday! What do you have going on this weekend? It’s Rodeo Break (it’s an AZ thing and I love it), so the kids are off school. We’re just enjoying some Tucson adventures, fun with friends, and enjoying this spring-like weather. Sending some sunshine to my freezing friends right now!

I’m doing a round of the EquiLife detox right now and feeling amazing. I was planning on starting with our community in January, but everyone else in the house got sick with a cold/virus, so I stopped after one day. I needed to shift my focus to immunity, and was able to stay healthy while I took care of everyone else.

Now that the retirement is over and things are a little more calm, it was a good opportunity to hop into it for 14 days. You can read more about my previous detox experiences here. This one focuses on high nutrients and lots of fresh, whole foods, so it’s pretty easy to stick with it. (Worth mentioning here that I skip the fasting days.)

It’s time for the weekly Friday Faves party! This is where I share some of my favorite finds from the week and around the web. I always love to hear about your faves, too, so please shout out something you’re loving in the commens section below.

Fashion + beauty + random:

Beefsteak! This is one of our favorite local events, and the funds support veterans and military families. They have a live auction (they auctioned a Tesla this year, which was pretty cool!) and silent auction, a delicious dinner (the seafood area this year was amaaaaazing), drinks. and dancing. I always love a lil opportunity to get dressed up and party it up with the Pilot and friends.

2.14 Friday Faves (and Happy Valentine’s Day)

Hi friends! Happy Friday and Happy Valentine’s Day! What are your plans?

We’re having a lovely dinner with our two little Valentines and the rest of the weekend we have a Bridal shower, a fun charity event, and a couple of P’s basketball games. Next week is Rodeo Break, the kids are off school, and I can’t wait. I’m also working my way through my IHP3 certifictaion and loving it.

To be honest, I’ve been in a little bit of a funk since the New Year. I’ve been so motivated and excited behind the scenes, especially because my new program launch in a couple of weeks (!), but it’s been WILD around here with birthdays, travel, and straight into retirement festivities. It’s all been fun stuff, but I’m still trying to find my groove. We’ll get there 😉

With my Valentine… and his Valentine:

Of course, I can’t celebrate Valentine’s Day without thinking of Bella. I know she sent Maisey just for us, but I still miss her like crazy and we still talk about her almost every day.

The best Valentine’s Day gift so many years ago.

Hi friends! How are you? I hope that you had a wonderful week! It’s been a great one over here because

the Pilot is RETIRED!

It was an incredible weekend packed with family and friend fun. When the professional pics arrive, I’ll post a full recap! Just waiting for the last finishing touches 🙂 I’m so proud of the Pilot for just under 22 years of service and am definitely looking forward to this new chapter.

Flowers from the ceremony:

He’s been home this week and it’s been so weird and amazing to have him around without having to focus on work stuff. He’s taking a well-deserved break for the month of February and I’m looking forward to more lunch dates, F45 classes, hikes, and drinking our morning coffee together. 🙂

Got IPL laser done at Bespoke Beauty ealier this week – I had a Groupon I needed to use – and was so pumped to see that they have a Biocharger. I used it for the first time at the Biohacking Conference and will definitely be back!

Hi friends! Happy Friday! How was the week? I hope it was a great one. It was the kids’ first week back at school and while waking up was a struggglllleeee, we’re all officially back into the routine. We also got a random cold snap and it went from being 70 degrees to 30! BLAH.

(The roses have been blooming like crazy with the warmer weather)

A big highlight of the week was that Liv turned 13. I can’t.even.believe it. They say time flies, and it’s true. She’s always been an introspective, kind, brilliant star, and it’s been so amazing to watch her grow. She does the BEST impressions, is sarcastic and hilarious, with the sweetest, kindest heart.

We had a family dinner to celebrate and everyone came over, and instead of a big party, she asked for a trip, so we’re headed off for that next week!

A giant cheese board for the festivities:

and my baby fever is out of control, but the Pilot says we’re done lol.

Hi friends! Happy Friday! How was the week? I hope you had an amazing one! What’s going on this weekend? I’m looking forward to decorating for Christmas, a girls’ night, and a family hike. We’re also headed to see Wicked today. Have you seen it yet?!

My week started off the best possible way because it was birthday celebration at Miraval. Betsy drove down from San Diego and we enjoyed True Food and shopping at La Encantada, and then Sunday morning, we met up with everyone for a spa day.

I didn’t really want a *party* to celebrate my 40th. I just wanted to hang out with my closest friends, enjoy some activities, spa treatments, and eat delicious healthy food. That’s exactly what we did, and it was perfection. I’m so thankful to have an amazing group of friends, and I loved spending the day with them. It was also my first time playing pickleball and I get the hype. It was super fun!!
