Hi friends! Happy holly jolly weekend to ya. What are you up to? We are baking cookies, cleaning, and getting the last bit of holiday to-dos completed. I’m also putting together something fun for January; I’ll have it up here on the blog next week.

We had a loss in our family this week, so Christmas is going to look a bit different from our usual routine. I’m definitely looking forward to mass with the fam, spending time together, and watching the kids open their gifts. I may share more later, but my heart is hurting right now.

A roundup of the week + some faves:

A trip to the Fairmont Princess in Scottsdale. This has become a yearly tradition, and it’s something we all look forward to. They turn the resort into a winter wonderland, with tons of holiday light displays, Santa, ice skating, s’more pits, and rides. The kids always have a blast. This year, we went with a group fo friends and it was even more fun!

Some pics from the trip:

Fashion + beauty:

This sweater dress from the latest RTR Unlimted shipment. It might be a keeper since it fits well and is easy to dress up or down.

I’ve been on the hunt for a good eye primer that doesn’t irritate my eyes, and this has been the winner.

LOVE these sparkly heels for holiday dinners and parties.

Hi hi! Happy Friday and Happy Halloweekend! How are you? I hope you’re having an amazing week.

We’ve been in full-fledged birthday celebration mode.

It was the Pilot’s birthday dinner on Sunday,

(we had an amazing family dinner at Three Canyon)

his actual birthday on Tuesday,

(we had a lovely brunch and spent the day together)

and P’s birthday was yesterday. I can’t believe she’s 8!! HOW?!

Every year, I get so emotional on the kids’ birthdays. I absolutely love seeing them grow and feel like I enjoy them more and more each year, but at the same time, it really happens too darn fast. It feels like just yesterday we were dropping Liv off at Betsy’s house with  hamburger piñata and heading out for P to be born. It also makes me laugh that the first hour of contractions, I was feeling smug and like it was going to be easy, and then I was begging for an epidural to help me birth my 10 lb 13 oz baby.

She cracks me up, gives the biggest hugs, and is always keeping us on our toes. She lights up our house with joy every single day.

We’re celebrating P’s birthday with friends this weekend, and also have a Trunk or Treat, a Halloween party, and new Fit Team workouts drop on Saturday. Here we go!

Some exciting news: I’m running a promo from now until Halloween on some of my bestselling fitness programs! I wanted to give you an amazing discount to celebrate the fall season, and this way, you’ll be all set for holiday travel and at-home workouts. All

Hi friends! Happy Friday! How was the week? I hope you had a great one. What’s going on this weekend? We have an event for the girls’ school, Trunk or Treat, and we’re celebrating the Pilot’s bday a little early (and yes, his favorite cake is on the menu). I’d love to hear what you have going on!

Workwise, I’ve been doing a ton of functional testing for clients lately. As much as I love workout programming, this is close competition for being my favorite work-related task. I LOVE going through all of the data and creating custom action plans. I put on some binaural beats, sprawl out on the PEMF Go Mat (my code is FITNESSISTA15), and go through EVERYTHING. If you’ve been curious about functional testing as a 1:1 client, please let me know; I have three spots left as we wrap up 2023.

(pics to an art show we attended by the Boys and Girls Club. I got the sweetest greeting cards and a javelina painting for P’s room! Dress is here and P is still loving her Vivobarefoots.)

I can’t publish this post without saying that my heart has been extremely heavy for the past week. I get a lot of emails and DMs when horrible things happen, demanding that I take “a side.” You guys know I’m not an expert on world events, and that’s not why you’re here. At the same time, it feels inauthentic for me to post as if nothing has happened, even though it is complex and I know I’ll never know the *right* thing to say at times like this. I tend to internalize and pray; it’s how I am and always have been. For what it’s worth, I stand on the side of humanity. For children and families. For innocent lives lost. I’m praying for peace.

Hi friends! Happy Friday! I’m writing to ya from the weirdest blog setup I’ve had in a while. Half of the keys on my keyboard stopped working, so I bought this plug-in keyboard. The keys are huge and make a loud sound, but it’s working until I can get to the Apple store for a new Mac. I can’t believe I’ve had this one for 8 years!

What are you up to this weekend? We have a birthday party and family photos. I still haven’t planned out anyone’s outfits but it should come together on the fly 😉 I’d love to hear what you’re up to!

Read, watch, listen:

What has made you laugh lately?

This is one of my favorite songs to wind down to at the end of the night. I listen to it on my headphones as I do my pm eye mask 🙂

I’m not sure if I’ve shared this book yet, but I should be finishing it up this weekend. I LOVE it. The writing is quick and witty, the story is intriguing and fun, and it makes a perfect early fall fluffy book. Highly recommend.

This book arrived yesterday and I’m so excited about it! Can’t wait to add some new recipes to the rotation.

Fashion + beauty:

Love these posts for classic outfit combos.

This blazer is still one of my faves!
