When we were visiting San Francisco many, many years ago we took a walk down the boardwalk and the smell of fresh, hot bread was completely intoxicating. How can something as simple as bread be so wonderful? That beautiful, golden, crispy crust, the soft pillowy inside and the smell that makes you feel such peace no matter what.

You can’t deny it, fresh bread baking is one of the greatest smells of all time. And fresh cut grass. Oh, and the rain, I love the smell of the rain. Growing up in Washington state will do that to you.

We love to make homemade bread, and Cade’s dad happens to be a fantastic bread maker, but the truth is, sometimes you don’t just want a sandwich bread — no, you want artisan bread. But can you really do it from home? Here’s how to make this no knead bread recipe in 5 minutes.

What is Artisan Bread?

If you’ve never made artisan bread before, you may be wondering what makes it so special. In truth, there’s no single definition for “artisan bread.” To us, artisan bread is a type of bread that’s been made with real ingredients (i.e. no preservatives or flavorings) and left to ferment overnight to create a slightly nutty flavor and easier-to-digest loaf.

No-Knead Artisan Bread Ingredients

To make this dutch oven no-knead bread, you only need flour, sugar, salt, yeast and water. That’s it. 5 ingredients!

  • Flour: just regular all-purpose flour is all you knead
  • Sugar: The sugar helps to activate or feed the yeast just a little, which I’ve noticed helps to yield and fluffier inside, but in a pinch you can skip it.
  • Salt: enhances all the flavors
  • Yeast: gives the bread its rise and fluffiness
  • Water: helps binds all the ingredients together and helps activate the yeast

Key Lime Pie Recipe

A key lime pie in a graham cracker crust. Dollops of whipped cream are around the edge of the pie and two slices of lime are in the middle. Limes and forks are beside the pie.

There’s nothing quite like a perfect Key Lime Pie. That graham cracker crust filled with a bright and zippy but totally creamy filling is meant to be your dessert this week.

THIS IS THE BEST KEY LIME PIE RECIPE EVER!!

Phew.

Sometimes you just gotta yell it to make it known. I’ve been making key lime pie since I got married 16 years ago and this is the ultimate recipe. It all started with key lime pie that Cade had while serving a mission for 2 years in Brazil. It’s called Torta de Limão in Brazil and while we adore this recipe for bars, our pie needed to have that Florida key lime vibe so I’ve been testing and testing off and on for years until this year I decided to throw in a little sour cream and bam! Deliciousness is served.

What Ingredients are Needed for a Classic Key Lime Pie?

This recipe is so simple that it’s dangerous! You only need a few ingredients, and you’ll likely have several of them on hand already. Making this recipe actually reminds me of making my mom’s famous lemon meringue pie. Fresh citrus just makes the best desserts ever! Here is your grocery store list:

  • Graham Cracker Crust: graham cracker crumbs, melted butter and sugar
  • Sweetened Condensed Milk: gives the pie it’s sweetness and creaminess
  • Sour Cream: adds creaminess and tartness
  • Lime Zest: flavor, flavor, flavor
  • Lime Juice: squeeze your own juice or buy bottled key lime juice, I always recommend fresh!
  • Egg Yolks: add so much richness
  • Stabilized Whipped Cream: water, gelatin, heavy cream, powdered sugar and vanilla

The measurements for each ingredient can be found in the recipe card below.

Deviled Egg Potato Salad

Creamy deviled egg filling creates the dressing that coats each bite of this deviled egg potato salad. Chunks of potato and hard-boiled eggs are tossed with the dressing to make the ultimate potato salad for anyone who loves deviled eggs.

Deviled Egg Potato Salad

I love a cold potato salad in the summertime – or let’s be honest, any other time as well. Potato salad is an awesome side dish for almost any meal.

I’ve shared quite a few potato salads with you over the years and I still love coming up with new ones. I first shared this deviled egg potato salad 3-4 years ago and it’s been a big hit.

Deviled Egg Potato Salad

Served with Grilled Chicken or a juicy steak or steak bites, potato salad is a side dish everyone loves. In the mood for hot dogs, corn dogs, or a burger? Potato salad works there too.

You can use any potato you like to make potato salad. However, I love the thin-skinned Yukon Gold potatoes.

There’s no need to peel the gold potatoes and the texture stays nice for the salad. If you decide to use russets or red potato, you’ll want to peel the potatoes for the best results.

Healthy Chocolate and Strawberries

Indulge in a delicious and nutritious treat with this recipe for healthy chocolate and strawberries. Perfect for satisfying your sweet cravings without any guilt!

My girlfriend is always saying that she needs to stop eating my treats because I’m always having her try my “experiments”. The other day I was thinking of making a fruit and dip experiment as a healthier treat for her. I was trying to think of something to do with Nutella and strawberries…stuff them, mix it with cool whip, etc, but nothing seemed right.

We had a little vanilla greek yogurt, so I tried swirling a little with the Nutella. Healthy Chocolate and Strawberries was born! It’s fresh and delicious, and much healthier than your typical dip. In fact, one little Chobani Greek yogurt has 16g of protein. Much better for you than chocolate sauce, wouldn’t you say?

So, we concluded that this is the perfect after school snack, fruit and dip for a party, or a late night treat. It tastes like chocolate covered strawberries but with less work and they are fresh, healthy and delicious.

Ingredients for Healthy Chocolate Dip Recipe

You only need 2 ingredients for this healthy chocolate fruit dip! It’s so simple, the kiddos could even make it on their own. Here is what you need:

  • Vanilla Greek Yogurt: choose your favorite brand, we prefer Chobani
  • Nutella: you can buy large jars at Costco for a great price

You can scale this recipe up for larger gatherings or make a single serving for a quick healthy snack. Using Nutella for the chocolate flavor is so tasty! No cocoa powder needed, which means it is plenty sweet with the vanilla yogurt and Nutella combined.

What to Serve with Chocolate Yogurt Dip

I am a total sucker for all things strawberry! You all know that my favorite dessert of all time is strawberry shortcake, so I always default to strawberries or anything berry.

But you don’t have to stop at just strawberries with this chocolate yogurt dip. This a list of great options for dipping in this yogurt Nutella dip:

  • Strawberries
  • Raspberries
  • Bananas
  • Apples
  • Pretzels
  • Nilla Wafers
  • Graham Crackers

NOTE: If you like a little texture in your chocolate fruit dip, toss a few mini chocolate chips in it.

Variation for Chocolate Fruit Dip

So hear me out…this makes a fabulous dip for fruit or other treats, but since we are using yogurt as the base for the dip, we could also use it in a yogurt parfait. Spoon some Nutella yogurt into a small glass, add some sliced strawberries o

This pesto tilapia is tender, flaky and so fresh with that delicious basil pesto on top. The perfect light and healthy meal for a busy weeknight.

I’ve always said that I don’t eat fish, so clearly I’m here today to bring you a delicious Pesto Tilapia. And I’m serious, it’s delicious. But! I will deny it if you tell my husband. He will then think he has to make me eat even more seafood, and I still just can’t do it. I really do hate it. Man, I wish I didn’t, and I am trying to like seafood. I have come around to like a few salmon recipes. My latest favorite is our teriyaki salmon rice bowl.

How to Make Pesto Tilapia Video

In fact, I was kind of chuckling to myself the other day that I even have a seafood section on the site here. I mean, there are so few recipes in there. But I’m working on it! You don’t have to be a genius to figure out my preferred tastes there do ya. And this all got me thinking, I love food, and people know that, but there’s a ton we don’t know about each other. SOOOOO, I think we should chat…

5 Things You May Not Know About Me

  1. I hate being called, Carr. I’ll probably never admit it to your face because I hate that it makes people feel bad, but I cringe when people call me that.
  2. I played the flute and piccolo from ages 10-19, and then I stopped and I haven’t played since. It’s one of my biggest regrets ever. I wish I’d gone ahead and studied music in school like I had always planned until my senior year of high school
  3. I have a fear of falling and knocking my teeth out. True story. I pinch my mouth closed when walking down stairs etc. as if it’s actually going to protect them or something. So ironic now since I did knock my teeth out about a year ago. Have you read about the bike crash? Wh
