Easy Garlic Bread

It takes about 3 minutes to make this herbed garlic bread and tuck it into the oven. This gives you plenty of time to pour a glass of wine or tea and pause for a moment before serving dinner – or calling the hungry hordes to the kitchen to serve themselves.

There’s something priceless about having a couple of minutes to pause in the cooking process right before serving the meal. A side of easy garlic bread accomplishes that nicely.

Garlic Herb Bread

Let’s take a moment to talk about garlic bread. I love it. I really do. Spaghetti dinners require it to be present.

For years, I simply slathered a loaf of bread with butter and sprinkled garlic over that before broiling it under toasted. It’s delicious stuff.

When I’m feeling fancy, roasted garlic makes for a pretty amazing parmesan roasted garlic bread too, but in general – quick and easy is the name of my garlic bread game.

Honey, Sriracha, soy sauce, and sesame oil are all you need to make this irresistible sweet and spicy broccoli.

Spicy Roasted Broccoli

This Sriracha and honey roasted broccoli was a recipe that I stumbled across many years ago and saved to try sometime in the distant future. The website where I found the recipe isn’t active anymore, but I’m grateful the recipe was once shared there.

We’ve been making this spicy roasted broccoli on a regular basis for years now because it is absolute perfection. The broccoli is tossed with a quick glaze of Sriracha, honey, soy sauce, and sesame oil before being roasted.

It just might be the best broccoli of your life – with a hint of sweet heat, it’s irresistible!

The flavors here are simply wonderful together and the heat from the Sriracha adds the perfect kick to the sweet honey on the roasted broccoli.

Spicy Broccoli

From the very first bite, this honey sriracha broccoli went running, skipping, and jumping to the top of my favorite ways to cook broccoli list. Yep. I liked it that much. I made it three times that first week after I initially made it.

Twice, I ate it all by myself for lunch. Ask me how much I care that my children don’t love broccoli. Nope, not a bit. It’s going to be on the table even more now.

Lucky for them, they don’t have to eat much of it, because I have no intention of wasting any more of this than necessary on their unappreciative little palates.

Sriracha Honey

Despite my kids’ dislike of broccoli in general, they do eat this spicy broccoli without complaints. Considering they normally turn their nose up at the sight of this vegetable, I’m calling that a success.

The honey and sriracha in the recipe make this smell delicious as it’s c

The BEST Slow Cooker Baked Beans

Web Admin 0 206 Article rating: No rating

Slow Cooker Baked Beans are chock-full of bacon and beef, sweetened with molasses and then simmered until thick and sweet.

If you’ve been reading this blog for long at all, you might notice that I very rarely name anything “the best.”

The Best Crock-Pot Baked Beans recipe by Barefeet In The Kitchen

Best Baked Beans Ever

There are many foods that we love and that we make over and over, but for something to be labeled the best baked beans ever, I feel like it needs to be a “wow” food.

You might be thinking that these are just crockpot baked beans, how amazing can they be, right? Well, they are pretty darn amazing as it turns out.

Three different beans with ground beef and bacon are simmered and slowly cooked until thick and sweet. The flavors and textures in this recipe for baked beans are just perfect.

Slow Cooker Baked Beans

Our friend, Tony, brought these beans to a barbecue at our house two years ago and they blew me away.

These beans are so tasty, so full of meat, so sweet and hearty, I  might have “accidentally” tucked a container of Tony’s leftovers deep into my fridge and then forgotten to give them to him at the end of the night.

Later, I asked him if he’d please send me the recipe. And lucky for all of us, he was happy to share it. I’m a believer in baked beans with meat now and I’m confident that you will be as well, just as soon as you taste them.

Creamy Pasta Salad

Web Admin 0 204 Article rating: No rating

Light and slightly tangy creamy pasta salad, with just enough dressing to coat the noodles and vegetables, this is one heck of an awesome summer pasta salad.

Perfect on its own for a light meal or as a side dish for all the summer potlucks and barbecues. Homemade pasta salad is better than any deli salad you can buy at the store.

Creamy Pasta Salad is a favorite all year long

A few years ago, while visiting my aunt and uncle, we were fortunate enough to arrive around dinnertime. (My aunt is a fabulous cook, so I tend to time my arrivals that way. You know, accidentally on purpose?)

Speaking of Aunt Judy’s amazing foods, have you tried her Almond Bars yet? Put them on your holiday baking list right now.

Her pasta salad was so simple and so delicious, I had to recreate it for my family as soon as I got back home. Thanks once again for the inspiration, Aunt Judy.

Summer Pasta Salad

This salad is filled with broccoli, cucumber, red pepper, black olives, and green onions. I am a big fan of pasta dishes that have a high ratio of vegetables to pasta, so don’t hesitate to add more or switch things up with your favorite vegetables.

Adding extra vegetables to a pasta salad is about more than just making it a little bit healthier. Vegetables add different flavors, textures, and colors to recipes like this one. This salad is about 50/50 pasta and vegetables and I often make it with more vegetables than are actually in the recipe.

Everything gets tossed in a light tangy dressing and the result is a fresh pasta salad that disappears quite literally almost as quickly as I can stir it together.

Recipes like this Asian Pasta Salad and this Summer Couscous Salad are a couple more that thrill my vegetable-loving heart.

Garlic Potato Salad

The Garlic Lover’s Potato Salad isn’t your typical mayonnaise potato salad. This potato salad is delicious served hot or at room temperature.

Garlic Potato Salad is a warm potato salad that starts with tiny baby potatoes that are roasted until crisp on the outside and fluffy inside. After roasting, the hot potatoes are coated with an abundance of garlicky oil and vinegar before being tossed with plenty of chives and parsley.

Have you tried a warm potato salad? If not, I recommend starting here. I just plain love this one. There’s no need to keep it cold if it’s left out on the counter for a few hours.
