What is cookie monster ice cream? Sweet vanilla ice cream is absolutely loaded with cookie chunks to create this ice cream. It’s cookie monster’s version of cookies and cream ice cream and it has been a win with everyone who tries it.

Not a fan of food dyes? Just skip the blue coloring. The ice cream tastes every bit as delicious with or without it.

I highly recommend serving this ice cream in cones, preferably Oreo or chocolate chip cookie ice cream cones if you can find them in the grocery store, for the ultimate cookie monster ice cream flavor!

Rich and buttery homemade salted caramel is transformed to frosty perfection in this irresistible Salted Caramel Ice Cream.

Caramel Ice Cream

Inspired by our love of warm caramel sauce and homemade ice cream, this is a wonderfully decadent ice cream. It’s been in our dessert rotation now for years.

The first time I made caramel ice cream was on a weekend my husband was out of town. I tasted it and then forced myself to hand the whole batch to a friend, because I knew I couldn’t be trusted with it on my own. (Yes, I have ice cream issues.)

I made this ice cream again a week later for my family, and it was a huge hit. Salted caramel is a beautiful thing. Just a tiny bit of salt enhances the flavors in the caramel beautifully.

If you haven’t yet tried it, get to the stove and stir some together just as soon as possible. With a sprinkling of salt stirred into some warm caramel, one taste and you’ll understand its popularity.

Chewy Oatmeal Raisin Cookies

Soft and chewy oatmeal cookies filled with the perfect amount of raisins are a classic that will never stop being made in my house. These have been Sean’s favorite cookies for as long as I can remember.

Classic Oatmeal Raisin Cookies

Soft and Chewy Oatmeal Raisin Cookies

I’ve been making this recipe since we were newlyweds (has it really been over 25 years?!) and the recipe is timeless for a good reason. These really are the best oatmeal raisin cookies.

(And I take no credit for that. The recipe below is very lightly adapted from the ancient recipe on the side of the Quaker oatmeal packaging.)

With simple pantry ingredients, a bit of butter, a couple of eggs, and a generous handful of raisins, these cookies come together in very little time at all.

The dough freezes well, as do the cookies, so I frequently double or triple the recipe to have it on hand all the time.

What’s not to love about having cookie dough stashed in the freezer?

I was sick over the holidays a few years ago and I was craving oatmeal cookies, but I didn’t have any in the freezer. Side note: This cookie dough freezes beautifully, so I highly recommend stashing some away for future baking.

Sean made a batch of these cookies for me that Christmas and they turned out perfectly. Baking is not his thing at all, so having an easy and reliable recipe helps!

In addition to keeping cookie dough in the freezer, I recommend tucking a few of the cookies in the freezer too. I love having them for snacking on with my morning coffee.

Strawberry Shortcake Ice Cream

Sweet strawberries mingle with crunchy golden Oreos whispering of summer in this lusciously smooth Strawberry Shortcake Ice Cream.

Strawberry Shortcake Ice Cream

The experience of holding a bowl filled with ice cream strawberry shortcake is one that you won’t soon forget. Initially, my brother didn’t believe me when I told him that we’d be using golden Oreos to make this ice cream.

But, they’re an easy hack to get that fabulous shortbread flavor. Cake doesn’t retain its form well in ice cream, and it often either gets mushy or turns into a brick. Oreos bring wonderful texture to this ice cream, too.

As far as I’m concerned, strawberry shortcake ice cream is the best of both ice cream-loving worlds with its combination of classic strawberry flavors and generous cookies and cream chunks throughout each serving.

I’ve enjoyed strawberry shortcake ever since I was a little kid. Although we didn’t have it often, I can remember my Aunt Judy making it for us when we visited and it always made me grin.

This dessert includes a healthy dollop of nostalgia for me, reminding me of summertime travels and the Fourth of July.

Fragrant cardamom, ginger, cinnamon, and cloves are steeped with black tea leaves to infuse each scoop of Chai Ice Cream with the classic flavor of chai tea.

Chai Ice Cream

This chai ice cream recipe creates a memorable dessert that is richly fragrant with all of the spices we love in chai, whether it’s ordered from your favorite coffee shop or made at home.

It is a cold, creamy treat that blends all the warmth of a traditional spiced tea into a surprisingly refreshing dessert. You’ll love this ice cream on its own or scooped over a peach cobbler or an apple crisp.

Like many other recipes I’ve shared over the years, this recipe was inspired by a conversation with my sister Jenny. Her husband Jason can be thanked for the chai recipe that forms the base of flavors in this new ice cream.

Milk Tea Ice Cream

I don’t typically prepare my morning or evening tea with milk, but I’ve seen my mom do it for years. And, when making chai tea, I always use half and half. Turns out, a lot of cultures have their own version of tea with milk.

I don’t know why I never tried to make an ice cream with this flavor before. In retrospect, it seems a no-brainer that milk tea ice cream could work. I’m glad I finally gave it a try, because chai tea ice cream is fabulous!
