Winter Skincare Routine

Sharing an my current winter skincare routine, from luxurious moisturizers to exfoliating masks, using safer products.

Hi friends! Happy Monday! How was the weekend? I hope you had a great one. We were in Phoenix with some friends, and did our annual stay at the Scottsdale Fairmont Princess. We also saw Ballet Arizona’s Nutcracker and it was LOVELY. I’ll definitely share some pics from the adventures in Friday Faves! I just added the winners to this year’s Favorite Things giveaway here.

For today’s post, I’m sharing my winter skincare routine!

The colder air outside (I live in Arizona after all!) and the dry indoor heat strip my skin of its natural moisture, leaving it prone to dryness during the winter months; so, altering my skincare routine this time of year is key to maintaining a healthy, happy complexion.

The first step is a gentle cleanser wash away makeup and impurities without over-drying. Next, I incorporate my beloved vitamin C serum that’s loaded with antioxidants and a hydrating moisturizer with ingredients like hyaluronic acid and ceramides to help lock in moisture and repair the skin barrier.

Additionally, a weekly exfoliation with a mild scrub or chemical exfoliant can slough off dead skin cells, promoting a radiant glow. I rotate between my favorite masks, listed below.

Lastly, applying a broad-spectrum sunscreen, even on cloudy days, ensures protection from harmful UV rays. This is my go-to.

Here’s what my winter skincare routine looks like. It changes and evolves over time with new products I find or like, but these are a lot of my tried and true faves.

Web Admin 0 129 Article rating: No rating

If you’re looking for a Peloton workout plan for beginners, I’ve got you. I’m sharing three sample workout plans you can follow using the Peloton app. Two Peloton Beginner workout plans + one is a bodyweight option if you don’t have the bike or weights at home.

Hi friends! Happy Monday! How was the weekend? We had a great one. We met up with my dad and stepmom for dinner, Liv had a dress rehearsal for dance competitions, and we took Maisey on some extra adventures. She’s getting spayed this weekend and my heart can’t even handle it. If you have any recovery tips or anything I can do for her, please let me know! (The last time I dealt this this with Bella, I was in college. It feels like a lifetime ago, but I remember being so worried about her. I’m pretty sure I didn’t leave my tiny apartment for at least three days.)

For today’s post, I have some new sample Peloton workout plans! This Peloton Workout Plan post continues to be one of my top posts every single day, and I figured it was time to share some new options, especially since there are so many new classes on the app.

I wanted to focus on a few specific things for this post: a workout plan for bodyweight only (if you don’t have weights at home, but still want a balanced plan using the Peloton option) and two beginner workout plans (one using the bike, and one without the bike).

A friendly reminder here to always check with a doctor before making any fitness changes. Honor your body and modify as needed.

Hi friends! I hope you’re having a wonderful week so far! We have dinner with the fam and are looking forward to a little Phoenix staycation this weekend. For today’s post, I’m sharing what I think is my favorite gift guide of the year: for tweens! While I have to admit that I do miss the Magnatiles and Melissa and Doug days, it is pretty fun shopping for tweens… even though many of them seem to have better taste than I do. 😉 Shopping for Liv and her friends is so fun right now, and I thought I’d share some of the popular gift requests if you have a tween girl on your holiday list.

As always, if you have any ideas or if you’d share your tween’s gift requests in the comments, that would be amazing!

In the hustle and bustle of our modern lives, adrenal fatigue has become a familiar foe, silently affecting so many of us. The adrenal glands, small but mighty, play a crucial role in our response to stress. When they’re overtaxed, adrenal fatigue can set in, leaving us feeling depleted and overwhelmed. You can check out this post about adrenal fatigue here!

Today, I thought I’d chat a little about adrenal fatigued share some of my favorite supplements to support these essential glands. Please keep in mind that this post is not medical advice. Understanding Adrenal Fatigue

Adrenal fatigue is a term used to describe a collection of symptoms that arise when the adrenal glands can’t keep up with the demands of stress. Chronic stress, whether physical, emotional, or environmental, can lead to an overstimulation of the adrenal glands. Over time, this constant demand for stress hormones, such as cortisol, can result in fatigue, disrupted sleep, hormonal imbalances, and a compromised immune system.

The Best Supplements for Adrenal Fatigue

1. Vitamin B Complex:

Chronic stress depletes our B-vitamin reserves, essential for energy production and stress response. A comprehensive B-complex supplement supports adrenal function, aiding in the conversion of food into energy and promoting overall vitality.

2. Adaptogenic Herbs (e.g., Rhodiola Rosea, Ashwagandha):

Adaptogens are nature’s stress-busters. Rhodiola Rosea and Ashwagandha, in particular, help the body adapt to stressors, modulating the stress response and promoting a sense of calm. These herbs offer a harmonizing effect on the adrenal glands, helping to restore balance. I also like Schisandra and Reishi mushroom.

3. Vitamin C:

An antioxidant powerhouse, Vitamin C is crucial for adrenal health. It supports the production of cortisol and aids in the repair of tissues damaged by stress. Supplementing with Vitamin C can help replenish the adrenal glands and strengthen the immune system.

4. Magnesium:

Often referred to as the “relaxation mineral,” magnesium plays a vital role in muscle and nerve function. It helps ease tension and promotes relaxation, making it beneficial for those experiencing adrenal fatigue-induced anxiety and muscle tension. There are multiple types of magnesium; my favorite for relaxation and stress management is magnesium glycinate pa
