Get ready for the most decadent and irresistible blue cheese dip of your life! I never thought I’d see the day that I would say the secret is in the blue cheese, but in fact, the key to this recipe is the Treasure Cave Blue Cheese!

The other secrets are the crispy prosciutto, roasted pears and the other 3 cheeses in the dip, but with everything combined and that unique flavor of blue cheese, this dip recipe is one that will have everyone asking for more!

This tasty blue cheese dip is the next recipe in my partnership with Treasure Cave. Have you tried the blue cheese gratin potato casserole yet? If that didn’t make a blue cheese lover out of you, then this dip surely will!

Treasure Cave is a brand that embraces bold and fun flavors and adventures, and that 100% describes everything I want out of life. So, I partnered with them to create a recipe inspired by my favorite adventure, a trip to Italy that reignited a love for combining flavors in beautiful yet approachable ways.

All haters of blue cheese, I welcome you to the table and challenge you to give this easy blue cheese dip recipe a try and let it make a blue cheese lover out of you! The combination of flavors and textures is so dreamy, I’m so confident you’ll love this creamy blue cheese dip, I’m willing to buy you a new car if you don’t love it! Ok, just kidding, but you absolutely have to give it a try!

Ingredients for Blue Cheese Dip

I took the blue cheese dip basics of sour cream, blue cheese and mayo and augmented them a little to elevate the flavor and make it even more gooey and cheesy. Here is everything you will need:

  • Prosciutto: Adds crunchy texture and a salty, smoky flavor to the dip.
  • Pear: Slice them thin and roast them until brown. They add sweetness and delicious flavor.
  • Olive Oil: Helps roast the pears.
  • Cream Cheese: I prefer the flavor and texture of full fat cream cheese and make sure it is softened so it isn’t clumpy in the dip.
  • Sour Cream: Avoid the light or fat free stuff for the best texture and flavor.
  • Mayonnaise: Use a good quality brand of mayo and choose whatever your favorite brand is.
  • Spices: Ground Cardamom and Ground Nutmeg
  • Salt and Black Pepper: for flavor
  • Treasure Cave Blue Cheese: You can also use Treasure Cave Gorgonzola Cheese if you just can’t get past the blue-ness of the blue cheese.
  • Fontina Cheese: Buy a block if you can find it and shred it yourself.
  • Parmesan Cheese: I like to use a microplane to grate the parmesan myself.
  • Herbs: Thyme and Chives are our favorites, and parsley is also a great option. Be sure to use fresh herbs!

Holiday Oatmeal

Holiday Oatmeal is filled with fresh apples, dried fruits, nuts, creamy oats, and brown sugar to create a deliciously filling hot breakfast. Less than 15 minutes from start to finish and a piping hot, warm, and creamy breakfast can be on your table.

Holiday Oatmeal is a favorite all year round! get the recipe at barefeetinthekitchen.com

This breakfast is a great way to start a fun day of cooking and eating during the holidays or any other day of the year. Thanksgiving or Christmas, holiday morning or not, it’s a delicious way to start the day year-round.

This oatmeal requires minimal fuss and it will keep the family full until the main eating event of the day. Over the years, this has become a tradition for our Thanksgiving breakfast.

Oatmeal with Fruit

We’ve been making our oatmeal recipes with fruit for about as long as I can remember and we’ve been making this particular fruit-filled oatmeal for over 10 years now. Holiday Oatmeal is a huge favorite with both the adults and the kids in our home.

Every guest we’ve ever served this to has requested the recipe. With plenty of fresh apples, sliced bananas, dried fruits, and nuts, cooked into creamy oats with a bit of brown sugar, this is a memorable oatmeal for everyone.

You can make this (and most other oatmeal recipes) with milk or with water and the oatmeal turns out great both ways. When I make oatmeal with water, I top each bowl with a pat of butter when I’m serving it.

Whenever we have an abundance of fruit in the kitchen, it’s a sure bet that some of it will make its way into our oatmeal in the morning. Apple Cinnamon Oatmeal is solid proof of that and my boys love that one too.

My own favorite quick breakfast year-round is Blueberries and Cream, but classic Peach Oatmeal and Peach Baked Oatmeal trump that when peaches are in season.

This is a sponsored conversation written by me on behalf of Fisher Nuts. The opinions and text are all mine.

Fall Memories

That little “kettle” on the stove. Yes, kettle, not pot or saucepan as I call it these days, but kettle like my mom called it. Vancouver is quite chilly during the fall because of all the moisture in the air. It really gets you to the bones and it’s harder to warm up. The sky is grey and moisture hangs in the air whether it’s raining or not.

Every day we would walk home from school and as soon as we opened the front door we were greeted with warm air and smells. It wasn’t from the food that was cooking, though that often happened too, but it was from the kettle of spices on the stove making our house smell like fall or the holidays. That’s what inspired this spiced almond breakfast cookie and our decision to continue our partnership with Fisher Nuts.

That’s where these breakfast cookies come in. We love using good products for our family as it makes us feel better on the inside and we believe it sets our children up to make wise food choices in the future. I mean think about it, you buy what your mom bought. She only used wheat bread, you probably do the same. We choose to use and work with Fisher nuts because it is the only brand of recipe nuts entirely without preservatives.

And in the meantime, make sure you make these spiced almond breakfast cookies for the kids in the morning. It will start them off with a heart healthy breakfast that smells amazing and will have them feeling warm from the inside out!

Welcome to the weekend, my friends! Where has October gone?? I can’t believe next week is the start of November! In my very exciting life this week, I cleaned out my closet and it made me grin to see all the sweaters and jeans I can finally wear again. Bring on the cooler weather, Ohio. I’m ready for it all.

ON THE BLOGS THIS WEEK: Crisp baby spinach, spring mix lettuces, tart apples, sweet raisins, crunchy almonds, and the ultimate honey cider salad dressing create a fantastic winter salad. I made this salad three times within a month the first time I made it. And in the years since then, this salad has made frequent appearances in my home. I make it almost every year now for Thanksgiving too.

I’ve been making the easiest possible dinners lately and this simple 6-ingredient BBQ meatloaf adds variety with very little effort required. And lucky for all of us, the result is every bit as delicious as the much more complicated traditional meatloaf recipes.

The magic of pairing fresh rosemary with roasted potatoes is something that really can’t be overstated. Fluffy potatoes with crisp, roasted edges are seasoned to perfection with just fresh herbs, salt, and pepper in these rosemary roasted potatoes. Despite the fact that I make potatoes in dozens of different ways throughout the year, these remain a favorite with family and friends.

Light, crispy, and flaky air fryer Brussels sprouts chips are delightfully snackable and surprisingly satisfying. These chips are the snack you never knew you were missing! I buy Brussels just so I can toss make these for lunch at least once a month.

Crepes are a breakfast that I would happily eat every single day. And these blueberry crepes are a berry lover’s breakfast dream come true. Topped with just the berries and a dusting of powdered sugar, they are a fun change from our usual pancake breakfasts.

The ultimate bakery-style salted chocolate chip cookies are giant cookies with crisp edges and a perfectly chewy center, filled with chocolate chips and sprinkled with flaked sea salt. This is a cookie you absolutely must taste to believe.
