Easy Halloween Snack Board

Easy Halloween Snack Board

a large circular wooden charcuterie board filled with halloween themed snacks

You know we love a good snack board around here — especially one that brings the fun! This Halloween Snack Board is everything I want in a festive treat: easy to assemble, a little spooky, and full of sweet and savory bites that everyone will love.

Whether you’re throwing a big party or just making a fun after-school snack for the kids, this board is guaranteed to bring smiles (and maybe a few giggles).

Why We Love a Halloween Snack Board

The best thing about a snack board is that everyone can find at least one thing that they like! There are sweet and salty snacks, chewy and crunchy snacks, light healthy options and super indulgent options…everyone is happy!

For this Halloween charcuterie board, we like to keep it fun with kid-friendly Halloween treats. We include fun shapes, colorful candies, and bite-sized foods like pretzels, grapes, and cheese puffs. The kids love it!

The Best Ingredients for a Spooky Snack Board

We have most of these on our snack board pictured here, but it’s really open for whatever your friends and family will love!

Cheese: Wensleydale pumpkin spice cheese, string cheese “ghosts”

Deli Meats: salami or pepperoni rolled up

Salty Snacks: pretzels, crackers (I found some that are pumpkin shaped at Trader Joe’s), cheese puff balls or popcorn

Halloween Candy: candy corn and candy corn pumpkins, M&M’s, Reese’s pumpkins

Fresh Fruit: mandarin “pumpkins,” apple slices, green grapes

Dips: hummus, caramel, ranch

Olives: black olives or green olives

Sweet Snacks: yogurt-covered pretzels or cookies

Decorative Touches: googly eyes, candy bones and skulls, plastic spiders, festive sprinkles

How to Arrange a Snack Board

I’m sure professional charcuterie board masters will scoff at this, but I let the kids help me fill up our Halloween snack board and there’s no real rhyme or reason to it. I like to distribute the colors and textures around the board, but it honestly doesn’t matter. Once people start digging in, it all gets mixed anyway.

One thing to keep in mind when arranging a snack board is that fresh ingredients like fruit will release moisture and make crispy ingredients soggy over time. Also, refrigerated ingredients shouldn’t sit out at room temperature for more than 2 hours.

Add pops of orange and black, fun Halloween props, and themed treats…the kids loved creating this spread! My favorite addition to this board of easy Halloween snacks was this Wensleydale pumpkin spice cheese. Holy moly, it was delicious!

How to Make It Ahead or Store Leftovers

Most of the snack ideas for this board don’t need any prep at all…just open a bag and scatter on the tray. The ingredients that do need some prep can be

5 Minute Easter Snack Mix [+Video]

Easter snack mix in a clear glass bowl with berry Cheerios, Easter candy corns, yogurt covered pretzels, Robin eggs, Easter M&Ms. mini marshmallows and bunny cookies.

Snack mixes are the easiest way to feed a crowd for any gathering. My kids love this Easter snack mix because of the little bunny snickerdoodle cookies in it and the candy. I love this snack mix because it comes together in 5 minutes and makes everyone happy!

This is a sweet snack mix with loads of spring colors. It is quick and tasty and disappears in our house in no time. Try these salty snacks to balance of the sweetness in this snack mix recipe: rosemary parmesan popcorn, best cheese ball, creamy artichoke dip, or the ranch slow cooker chex mix.

One of my absolute favorite holidays is Easter. I love the decorations, the food, the meaning behind everything, all of it!! As a kid I couldn’t wait to wake up and find Easter eggs hidden all over our house and oh how lucky we were if we got a giant chocolate bunny or those big Cadbury Eggs!

Now I’ll be honest, I feel sick trying to eat those BIG Cadbury eggs, but man, those mini Cadbury eggs that are pure chocolate with a candy shell are irresistible! The best news is, no baking or cooking needed to make this treat!

What Goes into an Easter Snack Mix?

The beauty of a snack mix is that you can add anything that you want! Around the holidays, it is fun to find ingredients that really bring out the color of whatever holiday it is. This is Easter Snack Mix recipe is all about the beautiful bright pastel colors:

  • Berry Cherrios
  • Easter Pretzels (you could also make your own with the colors you want)
  • Speckled Malt Eggs (I know a few people who don’t like malt…they are a wrong…but nonetheless, I saw they have speckled peanut butter m&m’s now which are delicious and will get you the same color)
  • Annie’s Gluten Free Snickerdoodle Bunny Cookies
  • Pastel Candy Corn
  • Easter Caramel M&Ms
  • Mini Marshmallows (I did just white because I already had some at home, but doing the multi-colored pack would be so fun)

How to Make this Snack Mix Recipe

There’s not much to make this recipe. You open all the bags of ingredients and pour them all in the large bowl. Stir everything together to combine, and then dig in! I like to serve it with some festive cups so people can snack from their own serving. It also makes a great gift for neighbors and friends or to put in Easter baskets.

Storing Snack Mix

This snack mix recipe can be stored for 4-6 weeks if it is kept in an air tight container.  The mini marshmallows and pretzels will get stale first, so we recommend keeping them separa

Cinnamon Sugar Pretzels [+ Video]

a photo taken over the top of several cinnamon sugar pretzels that have been drizzled with white chocolate

Cinnamon sugar pretzels are one of our all time favorite snacks or treats. Adults and kids cannot stay out of the bowl. Trust me!

Such a simple snack yet so hard to keep your hands out of. These cinnamon sugar pretzels with white chocolate drizzle are great for watching a movie or if Mom really needs a darn treat and they are a perfect snack for parties or for holiday food gifts!

Heaven knows you need at least one simple thing for a party so that you aren’t standing in the kitchen all day and night and during the party. This cinnamon pretzel recipe is your answer for a totally irresistible sweet and salty snack!

What Do I Need to Make Cinnamon Sugar Pretzels?

Have you all tried Dots pretzels? The original Dots are incredible, but I just tried the cinnamon sugar Dots recently and they are heavenly! In fact, they reminded me of this pretzel dessert recipe! You only need 4 ingredients to make this simple, yet irresistible treat…

  • Canola Oil: helps the cinnamon sugar stick to the pretzels without changing any flavor
  • Cinnamon Sugar: see section below for making your own
  • Mini Pretzels: grab a bag of store bought small pretzel twists
  • White Chocolate: melting wafers work great or white chocolate chips are fine too

The measurements for each ingredient can be found in the recipe card at the end of the post.

How to Make Cinnamon Sugar Pretzels

This is an odd recipe as it’s oil that you’re going to stir into the pretzels and not melted butter and then use the microwave (no oven needed!!) to bake it all in there. It works. I promise, but it is a little weird to pour oil all over something you want to eat. Here is how it will go…

  1. Combine the pretzels, canola oil and cinnamon sugar in a large glass bowl and toss until the cinnamon sugar coats all the pretzels.
  2. Microwave for 2 minutes stirring every 30 seconds.
  3. Pour the pretzels out onto a sheet pan and sprinkle with more cinnamon sugar mixture.
    • PRO TIP: We like to add this little extra cinnamon sugar right before we drizzle the white chocolate, but don’t stress if you forget. They are wonderful either way.
  4. Let the pretzels cool and air dry completely and then drizzle with melted white chocolate.
  5. Let them air dry again and eat!

These instructions are all available in the recipe card down below. Keep scrolling for all the details!
