Fresh, juicy peaches are tossed with cinnamon sugar and then baked inside a buttery, flaky crust to make this easy Peach Galette. You only need six ingredients to make it and it never fails to impress.

What is a galette?

The first galette I ever made was peach and I loved it from the first bite. A galette is lighter than a pie, not at all heavy with fruit or overly sweet with sugar. I love this method of baking fruit.

The beauty of a galette is that it doesn’t need to be perfect at all. It’s a simple crust topped with fresh fruit. Fold the sides in to contain the fruit and its juices as it bakes.

Galettes are one of those desserts that we call “rustic” and we get away with making them as messy as we like. No-pressure desserts are my favorite!

Who doesn’t like Peaches and Cream? Here’s a great way to enjoy this yummy combination in a fabulous pie with our all butter pie crust!

My friend Lisa brought me the most delicious, can’t-stop-eating-this-pie and my life has never been the same. Why haven’t I ever had a simple peaches and cream pie? IT’S SO GOOD! I think the secret is absolutely in the peaches. I know, you thought it would be the cream. But that’s just creamy and wonderful, it’s the peaches that can ruin everything and these peaches are really sweet and perfect!

Lisa is one of those friends that you love instantly because she’s so real, and love forever because she’s loyal. I adore that, and I adore that no matter if I’m a hot mess or totally on my game she’s not only there, she won’t even notice. I want to be more like that.

Back to peaches and cream though…we are obsessed with the combo! Check out our peaches and cream muffins, peaches and cream crumble bars and peaches and cream overnight oatmeal. Everything about peaches with cream is just perfection!

Recommended Equipment

Before You Begin…

You want to start by making the pie crust, blind baking it and letting it cool completely. If you don’t want to make your own crust, you can grab a store bought crust and bake it according to the instructions on the package.

Ingredients for Peaches and Cream Pie

  • Pie Crust: You will need flour, unsalted butter, salt, sugar and ice water to make the pie crust.
  • Cream Cheese: I highly recommend using full fat cream cheese. The texture just turns out better.
  • Powdered Sugar: Sweetens up the cream layer and balances out the tang of the cream cheese.
  • Heavy Cream: Whipping up the cream gives body, fluffiness and creaminess to the cream layer.
  • Vanilla: Adds flavor
  • Yellow Peaches: You want freestone peaches, like Early Elberta, that are ripe. Remove the pits and slice them. Peeling is optional.
  • Sugar: Helps balance the tartness of the peaches. If your peaches seems super sweet, then you can reduce the sugar a little.
  • Ultra Gel: Helps thicken the saucy peach layer.
  • Water: Helps create a thick syrupy peach layer for the top of the pie.

This cheesecake fruit salad is awesome for a side at a potluck or BBQ or even as a dessert! Plus it’s so easy it’s foolproof! The perfect summer salad!

Ummmmm I could eat this berry cheesecake salad recipe for the rest of my life and die happy. Seven years ago we posted this recipe and I’ve been waiting all winter for berry season to hit so we could bring this recipe back to the front for everyone to enjoy.

It’s sweet deliciousness. It seems a little wrong to take all of those healthy berries and turn them into a calorie fest with everything you put in this dish, but guess what, WORTH IT!!

Seriously, you should all make this on a perfect sunny day and eat outside with the family. Or maybe take it to a BBQ so everyone can ask you what the amazing recipe is.

Cheesecake Fruit Salad Ingredients

This fruit salad recipe is so versatile. I’m going to list out the ingredients that we love, but know from the start that you can totally swap out different fruits or flavors of yogurt. Here is what you will need:

  • Instant Cheesecake Pudding: You want just the pudding powder to add that yummy cheesecake flavor.
  • Cool Whip: adds sweetness and creaminess
  • Strawberry Yogurt: adds more fruity flavor and creaminess to the salad
  • Bananas: cut into 1/2 inch slices
  • Strawberries: stem removed and sliced
  • Raspberries: left whole but rinsed
  • Optional: Blueberries, Blackberries, Peaches, Cherries or Grapes
  • Graham Crackers: If you really want to make this salad taste like a true cheesecake, add crushed up graham cracker.

PRO TIP: After trying many different combinations of fruit in this recipe, I’ve decided my favorite concoction is fresh bananas, fresh strawberries, fresh blueberries, fresh raspberries and fresh blackberries. So fresh! Haha!

The measurements for each ingredient can be found in the recipe card at the end of this post.

How to Make Cheesecake Fruit Salad

One of my favorite things about this side dish is that it couldn’t be easier! Just two quick steps and you have a delicious fruit salad.

  1. In a large bowl, mix the pudding powder, whipped topping and yogurt together.
  2. Add the fruit and carefully fold it into the creamy cheesecake mixture. Then let it chill in fridge until it’s ready to serve (at least 30 minutes).

These instructions can also be found in the recipe card below where you can also print or save the recipe.

Peaches and Cream Oatmeal

I’ve been making peaches and cream oatmeal all summer long; filled with soft pecans and sweet peaches, this is a memorable breakfast. I save a couple of peaches to make this oatmeal almost every time I buy fresh peaches.

And if you dare to top your oatmeal with a scoop of vanilla ice cream, this really might be the best oatmeal you’ll ever eat. We aren’t new to the ice cream and oatmeal combination over here.

If you haven’t tried ice cream with your oatmeal yet, you are missing out on some serious awesomeness for your breakfast! While it may sound a little crazy at first, I figure that a small scoop of ice cream has to be comparable to a spoonful of sugar and a splash of milk, right? If I’m wrong, just don’t tell me.

Oatmeal and Peaches

Peach oatmeal is pretty amazing on its own though, so feel free to skip the ice cream and eat it plain. Or top it with a pat of butter and a sprinkling of brown sugar.

Like the blueberries and cream oatmeal I’ve raved about in the past, this oatmeal is pretty awesome with a drizzle of cream as well.

Peaches and Cream Ice Cream

The quintessential summer flavor combination of peaches and cream has been transformed into cold and creamy scoops of peaches and cream ice cream and it is everything I imagined it would be.

I found myself repeatedly going back to the freezer for “just one more taste, you know, to make sure it’s perfect” the first time I made this ice cream. Spoiler alert, yes, it’s perfect.

Sweet Peach Ice Cream

Oh, peaches, how I love you. Let me count the ways. This sweet peach ice cream is the latest arrival in my love affair with peaches. It all began with this Southern Peach Cobbler. Topped with ice cream, it’s an absolutely perfect dessert in every way.

This cobbler led me to a dream of creamy vanilla ice cream filled with chunks of peach cobbler. Luckily that dream came true in my kitchen and it turned out to be everything I’d imagined. Peach Cobbler Ice Cream has proven to be irresistible.

Peach Crisp Ice Cream is creamy vanilla ice cream filled with chunks of peach crisp, a peach lover’s dream come true. With chunks of buttery brown sugar and oat crisp, and syrupy peaches in every bite, this ice cream is irresistible.

There is something almost magical about the way that roasting the peaches brings out additional flavor in this Honey Roasted Peach Frozen Yogurt.

Peach ice creams have proven to be some of my favorite ice creams to make each summer and fall, just as soon as the peaches turn fragrant and sweet.
