Grilled Peach Caprese Salad Recipe

Grilled Peach Caprese Salad Recipe

This Grilled Peach Caprese Salad might just be the most irresistible twist on caprese yet. Sweet grilled peaches, cool slices of mozzarella, ripe summer tomatoes, and creamy avocado all finished with a rich balsamic drizzle – it’s freshcolorful, and packed with flavor in every bite.

Why We Love This Salad

This salad is a go-to around here because it’s simplestunning, and packed with layers of flavor – sweet grilled fruit, creamy mozzarella, and that tangy balsamic glaze. We served it at a church BBQ and the entire platter disappeared faster than anything else on the table. It’s one of those dishes that looks fancy, tastes even better, and takes almost no effort to pull off.

What to Serve It With

My grilled peach salad makes an easy, elegant pairing for just about any summer meal. We especially love it with BBQ dishes, grilled meats, or anything rich and savory. Try it with our juicy Flank Steak, herby Easy 3 Ingredient Chicken Marinade, or a side of our Secret Best Grilled Corn for the ultimate warm-weather dinner.

This salad is fresh, simple, and full of texture – no fancy ingredients, just a few summery staples that shine on their own.

  • Lemons: Grilled for a sweet, smoky citrus flavor.
  • Peach: Ripe and thickly sliced so it caramelizes on the grill.
  • Olive Oil: Helps with grilling and adds richness.
  • Tomatoes: Juicy and vibrant – summer tomatoes work best.
  • Avocado: Sliced just before serving for creamy texture.
  • Sea Salt or Sea Salt Flakes: A good finishing salt makes all the difference.

My Favorite Peaches for Grilling 🍑

When I’m grilling peaches, I always go for freestone varieties – they’re sweet, firm, and slice clean without clinging to the pit (which makes prep so much easier). Some of my absolute favorites are Early Amber

Ingredients for Honey Butter Skillet Corn

Corn may not be glamorous, but melt it into honey and butter and suddenly it’s stealing the spotlight from the steak. This recipe’s so simple, even your toddler could stir (though you might find corn in places corn should never be).

  • Unsalted Butter: The rich, creamy base. Salted butter works too – just ease up on the added salt.
  • Frozen Corn: Quick and easy, but fresh tastes great too. See tip below for using canned corn.
  • Kosher Salt: Balances sweetness and enhances flavor. Halve the amount if using fine salt.
  • Chili Powder: A smoky, subtle kick. Swap in paprika or a pinch of cayenne if preferred.
  • Lime Juice: Adds brightness and cuts the richness.
  • Honey: Sweetens everything up and makes the dish shine. Maple syrup or agave can pinch-hit.
  • Cilantro: Brings a fresh finish. Try green onions or chives if cilantro’s not your thing.

The measurements needed for each ingredient can be found in the recipe card at the end of the post.

Carrian’s Notes

I don’t recommend using canned corn unless absolutely necessary as it can turn out a bit chewy and the flavor isn’t as fresh.

If there was one recipe that totally caught me by surprise it would be this one! Even kids love, love, love this tomato pie! Think margherita pizza meets pie and that’s what you get here! All the flavors of homemade pizza but in the form of a savory pie. I find that it’s best made with farm fresh tomatoes as they pack in so much more flavor and remind me of the rows and rows of beautiful, shiny red globes of tomatoes planted along the perimeter of Mom and Dad’s garden. It’s fresh and tasty with a flaky crust, what more could you want?!

Southern Tomato Pie Ingredients

This easy tomato pie recipe features a homemade crust and a cheesy tomato filling. Here’s what you’ll need to make this recipe:

For the Crust

  • Flour: Just regular all-purpose flour is all you need.
  • Sugar: Helps balance out the flavor of the crust.
  • Salt: Adds flavor to the crust.
  • Butter: Use unsalted butter so that the crust doesn’t become too salty. Butter gives the crust its rich flavor and flaky texture.
  • Ice Water: Helps bind all the ingredients together while keeping the butter and shortening cold so the crust is extra flaky.

For the Filling

  • Fresh Tomatoes: Vine ripe tomatoes are my favorite for this recipe. Roma tomatoes also work great!
  • Cheeses: Mozzarella, Parmesan, and Cheddar
  • Herbs and Spices: Salt, Garlic Powder, Oregano, Black Pepper and Fresh Basil Leaves (store-bought or fresh from the garden)
  • Mayonnaise: Duke’s is our preferred brand but you can use any mayo you want!

The measurements needed for each ingredient can be found in the recipe card at the end of the post.
